The fine print, kept short
Shipping & Returns
There are ten knives in a batch and one person packing them, so this page is short. Everything below is the entire policy - there is no longer version behind it.
Shipping
Knives in the current batch ship within three business days, USPS Priority, insured for full value, signature required. Each knife leaves in a waxed-canvas roll with a fitted leather sheath (field and camp models) or a saya (the Hearth). Tracking arrives by email the evening it ships.
Outside the United States
I ship worldwide where the law allows. International orders go USPS Priority International; duties and import taxes are yours, and I will not mark a $500 knife as a $20 gift, so please don't ask. Some countries restrict fixed blades by length - check yours before ordering, because customs does not issue refunds and neither can I once a package is seized.
Returns
Fourteen days, no questions, for any unused knife. Use it first, though - a knife you have actually cut with tells you more in an afternoon than a fortnight on the shelf. If you have used it and still want to send it back, call it a warranty conversation and write me anyway. We will sort it out.
The guarantee
Printed on the site and meant literally: if a Halloran knife ever fails in honest use, send it back and I will reforge it or refund it. "Honest use" means the work the knife was made for. Chips from bones and knots are honest. A bent tip from prying open a window is a good story, and I will still fix it - for the cost of materials.
Waitlist orders
When a batch opens, the list gets one email with a private link, in the order people joined. You have seventy-two hours before your spot passes to the next name. No deposits are taken until you choose a knife.
